I attended a meeting of the Large Urban Mayors’ Caucus of Ontario last week.
A LUMCO Press Release was issued calling on the Federal Government to use their own gas-tax funding model based on proportional population in dispensing infrastructure funding to municipalities. Using the model would be efficient, transparent and fair to all municipalities.

I missed a “Celebrating Diversity” posting on an annual event in Guelph celebrated by the Bengali Community of Guelph. February 21st is International Mother Language Day. Councillors Vicki Beard and Kathleen Farrelly attended a flag raising in front of City Hall to mark the occassion.
