In Romania at this time of year, people celebrate by giving each other red and white silk threads with a little talisman object attached, called Martisor, as a symbol of the new sring bringing back to life to the natural world. Each year, the Romanian Association kindly send me a Martisor and wishes for a happy and prosperous season.
