The Bangladesh community is celebrating their Independence Day today.
Tonight they are having a cultural celebration.
This morning, their community gave blood at Canadian Blood Services. This was their way to honour those who fought for their independence as a nation while helping their fellow citizens in their new home, Canada.
MP Frank Valeriote, MPP Liz Sandals and I joined them this morning.
The Bangladesh community has a long history of making a difference in our city.
