Celebrating Diversity – April 30

Walpurgis Night (Sweden) – Walpurgis is Sweden’s annual feast of witches.  Huge bonfires are lit all over the country to scare them away as they fly overhead, headed for their annual sabbath in Brocken in the Harz Mountains in Germany.  Young and old come together all over Sweden to celebrate around a communal bonfire.

Moving forward on priorities

Council took a big step forward this week on one of its top priorities.  Council approved the new technology to reopen the Organic Waste Processing Facility.  Getting our organic composting facility back on track is Council’s top priority along with the implementation of the Community Energy Plan.
