Council took a big step forward this week on one of its top priorities. Council approved the new technology to reopen the Organic Waste Processing Facility. Getting our organic composting facility back on track is Council’s top priority along with the implementation of the Community Energy Plan.
The status of the other top priorities is:
- Community Energy Plan - approved and being implemented
- Growth Management Plan - on track to be completed this year
- 20 Minute Transit Service - implemented
- Guelph Innovation District - ongoing work on implementation
- Downtown Investment Action Plan – approved and being implemented
- Waste Management Master Plan - approved and being implemented
- Strategic Urban Forest Management Plan - public consultations have started
- City/County Service Agreements – work ongoing
