I was asked to speak today at a Canadian Urban Institute Urban Leadership Series on “Are Municipalities Ready to Take on a Defining Role in Energy Security and GHG Emissions Reductions? It was a great opportunity to talk about the work we are doing in Guelph.
The keynote speaker was Julia Langer, Executive Director, Toronto Atmospheric Fund.
My co-panelists were Douglas Wright, Managing Director, Ontario Centres of Excellence, Chris Asimakis, President, Potentia Energy, Conundrum Property Services, and Louis Marmen, Director, Gas Markets, Canadian Gas Association and QUEST (Quality Urban Energy Systems of Tomorrow) representative.
The City of Guelph and Guelph Hydro have partnerships with the Ontario Centres of Excellence, the Canadian Urban Institute and QUEST to advance community energy planning in Guelph and other communities.
