A resident wrote to me today to describe the work of the Community Volunteer Patrol.
The organization according to the writer has been in existence since 1996. They act as the eyes and ears for the Police, patrolling the city in pairs in their own vehicles. Their cars are marked with their logo and that of the Guelph Police and they remain in touch with dispatch hourly. They have 25 volunteers and their office is in the Guelph Police Station.
You can find out more about this organization at: http://www.guelphcvp.ca/
This is a great example of how people who care about Guelph help to make us the safest city in Canada.
