New lens on Community Wellbeing

I attended the Exhibition Opening of the Photovoice Project in Old Quebec Street.

I encourge you to visit the exhibition over the next couple of days or view their work on line

Members of several Neighbourhood Groups were trained in research techniques and photography.  These Community Researchers volunteered to document and interpert their community through photography around the theme of “Living Healthy, Well and Strong in our Neighbourhoods”.

The result: A powerful, creative, and collaborative approach and message!  Hugely inspirational!

Their work will help frame the issues for our Communtiy Wellbeing Initiative as well as inform and influence public policy.

Thank you to the Community Research Volunteers.  Fantastic job!
