Two interesting stories from our Waste Resource Innovation Centre:
Call2Recycle – The City of Guelph has been participating in this battery recycling program and we were recentlyrecognized for having one of the highest collection levels nationally in 2011. Thanks to our staff for making this program available to our residents and way to go Guelph for your use of this recycling program and keeping batteries out of landfills. In 2011, Call2Recycle diverted 1 million kg of batteries from landfill.
Paint + Reuse Program – Two Guelph residents recently thanked our staff for their assistance in their project to use paint and urethane from the Reuse Centre to restore the interior of a sailboat and a dinghy.
