We are proud to join Canadians across the country in celebrating National Flag of Canada Day on February 15. It was declared National Flag Day in 1996. It marks the day when the flag was raised for the first time on Parliament Hill in Ottawa.

This song was taught in the classroom back in 1965 when Canada’s new flag was announced… Freddy Grant’s “Flag of Canada” (1965). Wouldn’t it be excellent if the classrooms would sing it again for our flag’s 50th birthday in 2015?
