A community that cares: Team Tyrel

August 22, 2013

Caring Community

I met Tyrel’s family at the Shake True Hoops Basketball Free Throw contest that took place August 17, 2013. Sandi and Phillip Thompson appreciate all the support they have received from Guelphites.

I believe that, in order to make a difference, you have to start from a place of caring. The people in our community do care – that is, they are aware, engaged, and concerned about the issues. Thank you for supporting Team Tyrel and making a difference in our community.

Friends are organizing a virtual 5km run/walk/bike to raise funds for Tyrel who needs a kidney transplant. Learn more about how you can register for the event at https://www.facebook.com/runforteamtyrel.
