Global business and research interest in Guelph

September 28, 2009

Jobs & the Economy

In addition to recently meeting with the Vice Consul from New Zealand, I have also met with business representatives from Korea who have entered into a joint venture with Armtec.  Armtec has over 100 years of history in our community.

Today, I met with representatives from Kintetsu World Express (Canada) Inc. , headquartered in Japan, who are currently building their third distribution and light assembly facility in Ontario in our city.     I am just heading into a meeting to greet visitors from Xuzhou China who are interested in exploring exchange possibilities in “manufacturing industry, biological enterprises, processing of agriculture and side-line products” along with research exchanges with the University of Guelph.
