A brief look at the week

A couple of highlights from the week:

  • I spoke to over 100 people in Toronto at the Ontario Electricity Association Breakfast Speakers Series about the Community Energy Plan – still lots of enthusiasm outside of Guelph for the work we are doing
  • Council’s Audit Committe met this week
  • I was introduced to the new Pastors of New Life Christian Reformed Church, Tom and Leslie van Milligen
  • The Poverty Elimination Taskforce released their Community Plan
  • The Board of Guelph Junction Railway met – Guelph’s very own railway
  • The City Treasurer and I spoke in Toronto about the challenges of financing Places to Grow
  • Went without breakfast on Friday as part of Live Free Day
