Hospice Walk

April 22, 2010

Making a Difference

Recognizing the community’s growing need for hospice care, in 2007 Hospice Wellington launched a capital fundraising campaign to support the construction of the region’s first residential hospice.

The City of Guelph has contributed $1 million to this important community project.

Councillor June Hofland is organizing a team of walkers for the annual Hike for Hospice on May 2nd at the Arboretum to continue to raise money for the project.  It promises to be a fantastic community event in the city, a wonderful opportunity for families, friends and colleagues to congregate in a beautiful setting such as the Arboretum.
