Moving Locomotive 6167 – Update

Look out your cameras:

Locomotive 6167 will be moved to its new home on June 16th.

The historic locomotive, located north of Macdonell Street, East of the Greyhound station will be relocated to the South side of the Canadian National Railway tracks, east of the existing VIA Rail Station, as part of Guelph’s new intermodal transit terminal.

Today, the train will be lifted on to a trailer to prepare for the move.

On June 16 the train will make its move across the tracks according to the following schedule:

07:01 – 09:44 Move tender (coal tender is part of the train) across

09:44 – 12:13 Move gantry (crane) across

12:13 to 18:49 Move locomotive across
