AA credit rating continues for Guelph

A key reason for this term of Council setting a maximum limit on the amount of debt the City can carry, a minimum level of reserves below which we cannot dip and a cap on the amount of property taxes that can be used for capital projects like roads, sewers and facilities was to protect our financial position as a City over the long term while meeting the needs of a vibrant community.

Our financial position is independenty evaluated each year by Standard & Poor.

Despite the global economic recesssion, Guelph’s position remains strong.  Click here  for more information.
