Thanks for all your work on this city council! Today seemed to be a success! I hope it went well for all the vendors and as a customer was easily able to find all of my favourites.

Dear Mayor Farbridge and City of Guelph employees:

Congratulations on having risen to the challenge of accommodating farmers, craftspeople, and the Public this past Saturday. One of the great things about Guelph is the farmers’ market. Given the importance of agriculture to Guelph, notably the significant presence of employers such as OMAFRA, the University of Guelph, and many corporate organizations, it is fitting that the city rose to the challenge of accommodating this vital urban-rural link during the uncertainty of the replacement of the market building roof. The use of City Hall also sent a strong message about accessibility to its citizens. Never before had I entered City Hall. Now I see it as a wonderful structure. As well, it was good to see counsellors such as Leanne Piper present to greet people. The shopkeepers, too, were very gracious and thankful for citizens making the effort to reach out and provide support to them. I look forward to continuing to support the market in the future.
