This is the first of a six part series on the seasonal topic of Winter Snow Removal.

The City of Guelph is committed to keeping our roads safe, and clear of snow and ice during the winter months with an effective winter maintenance service. These services include snow clearing and the spreading of salt or sand to:

  • 1,200 km of roadway
  • 660 km sidewalk
  • 180 crosswalks, crossings, steps, walkways
  • 650 bus stops

Winter maintenance service includes roads and sidewalks.

During the winter season, weather and road conditions are monitored by Operations crews, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Staff is available and prepared to respond at any time to help keep our roads safe this winter.
