16th Annual Winterfest

One of the reasons why Guelph was named the most liveable community in Canada (outside of Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal) by MSN was our great neighbourhoods.

Those great neighbourhoods were at their best on Sunday as 13 of them organized family activies and games including ice skating, tobogganing and more as part of the 16th Annual Winterfest.

The skating rinks are all in fine form this year.  Thanks to all the neighbourhood volunteers that make Winterfest such a success.

I dropped into four of the celebrations during the afternoon.

    We no longer live in Guelph but have many great memories of Winterfest at Sunny Acres Park. Seeing the park flooded with people for this event was wonderful. I’ve blogged about the neighbourhood contribution of the rink volunteers – if you’d like to take a look, here’s a link:
