The City of Guelph has a partnership with Wyndham House to run a Youth Emergency Shelter. I just received Wyndham House’s Annual Report. The shelter served 105 youth in 2010 with 26 transferred to independent living and 30 returning home. The average length of stay was 6 days. Wyndham House also runs Outreach and Skill Building Programs. There was on average 317 visitors a month to their Youth Resource Cenre. Eighty-seven (87)% of their long term youth participate in the skills development program and 54 youth found housing with Aftercare Support.
