November 4th is Random Act of Kindness Day in our city.
An initiative of the Guelph Community Foundation, Random Act of Kindness Day is a day to remember to do something kind for someone. It could be holding open a door, bringing cookies to the office, or carrying someone’s groceries.
This day is not about fundraising or giving money – it’s just a way to empower everyone to build a better community. Random Act of Kindness cards are distributed throughout the community; when you do something kind, you pass along the card to the recipient of the good deed to invite them to pay it forward. This is one more way for us to show our stripes as Canada’s most caring community.

I guess you can never have too many “Random Act of Kindness Days”, but I thought this special day was spearheaded by another group and held in January?
