Guelph Water Supply is Safe

What you need to know:

  •  Two recent water quality tests have confirmed that there is no coliform or E. coli contamination in Guelph’s water supply.
  • Public Health and the City would notify residents if there was any risk that the water was not safe.
  • Earlier this week, during routine monitoring, the City received test results indicating a potential contamination of the City’s water supply.
  • As a precaution, the City investigated, flushed the system and increased disinfection.
  • The City, Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health and the Ontario Ministry of the Environment have been closely monitoring the situation.
  • An official statement from the Wellington-Dufferin-Public Health and the City of Guelph is available on the City’s website.
