Breakfast conversation: the State of our City

November 10, 2011

Making a Difference

The Guelph Chamber of Commerce hosted the annual State of the City breakfast this morning – a time for me to offer my thoughts on Guelph’s progress and where we are headed.

You can read my speech here and read the news release here.

We’ve all seen the headlines about Guelph – lowest unemployment rate; most caring community; safest city; one of the best places to live in Canada; even the fastest and most romantic! This year, I took the opportunity of the State of the City to tell a couple of the stories behind the headlines that I think demonstrate why Guelph is so extraordinary.

Thanks to the Chamber for hosting this event, and thanks to everyone who attended.
