Lots of people have been using the rink over the holidays. Even with freeze on today, skaters are out on the rink.
Here is a photo of the scene at night when the lights are on:

Just need to get the music pumping like they do at the Harbourfront Centre Skating Rink in Toronto. They have SIRIUS/XM Sattelite radio pumping the music as well as live DJ nights on Saturday night….Maybe this will happen once the building is done.

Really great stuff. I took my family downtown for a skate over the holidays and we had a fabulous time. I counted 74 people on the ice when we were there. We will be back soon!

I have been meaning to write since last Saturday to commend you and your staff on the wonderful New Year’s Levee. My daughter is still singing bits of the songs performed by The Funky Mamas a week later. The live music, the crafts and hot chocolate were a hit. It was amazing to see so many people on and around the rink. At the time we arrived, about 2:15, there must have been 200 or so people milling about Market Square. Wow. It really was all worth it!!! Your levee is now one of the family-fun highlights on the Guelph calendar. Well done.
