Here’s one area where Guelph does not rank well: organ and tissue donor registrations. With only 26% of eligible OHIP card holders registered, we’re 82nd in the province.
I’ve started beadonor.ca/mayorfarbridge to encourage everyone to register to donate. It only takes two minutes and you can register directly from my page.
It’s called the “Gift of 8” campaign because one donor can save up to 8 lives. In a previous post I talked about the many good reasons to be a donor.
Let’s put Guelph on the map for being one of the best cities in Ontario for organ and tissue donor registrations!

I like that you included the link to make it easy for people to register. I went on to check my status (I was already registered) and you’re right, it literally takes two minutes of your time. Certainly worth the effort!

My husband and my son have also just registered!
