Random Act of Kindness Day

Caring Community

Save the date! November 9th is Random Act of Kindness Day in our City.

This is the third annual event spearheaded by the Guelph Community Foundation. This is a day to do something kind for someone else. A day filled with simple acts of kindness which may include giving up your seat on the bus for someone who needs it, bringing coffee/tea to the office, taking the garbage out for your neighbour, or donating blood.

While we do simple things to lift others on this day, we know that “everyday kindness” is important.  Research shows that kindness offers direct benefits of improved health and happiness.

It is important to note that this day is not about fundraising or giving money. It is about building a caring community.

For more information, visit the Random Act of Kindness Day Facebook Page or the Guelph Community Foundation website.
