The Strathcona Cup international curling event makes a stop in Guelph on January 25. This is the 110th year of the Cup and the friendly competition alternates between Canada and Scotland every five years.
Hosted by the Guelph Country Club, eight teams from Guelph, Fergus and Elora will play with Scottish teams. The Scots have 5 teams so while 4 play, one sits out, then they rotate for the next game. The first game starts at 10a.m and the second at 2.30p.m.
The 2013 tour has set a record in many ways – split into three – East, Central and West, including all the ten Provinces. This has allowed more clubs than ever before to act as hosts.
A special day for Guelph indeed, as it is not every day we get to host an international event. Curling fans, come and enjoy a great afternoon of curling! Please click here for more information.

Dear Karen
Thank you so much for being part of our celebration and for making some fine comments about our sport, our city and our club. Your presence and words were a great inspiration to all of us at the Guelph Golf and Country Club
