Immigration Portal -Guelph and Wellington a welcoming place for everyone

This morning, I attended  the launch of the Guelph Wellington Immigration Portal at the annual Guelph Wellington Local Immigration Partnership Immigration Connection event.

I thank the Government of Ontario for funding solely this Project through their Municipal Immigration Information Online program.

Many thanks to the Local Immigration Partnership that played a significant role in bringing the portal funding to the City of Guelph while coordination of the Portal was through a project co-ordinator hired on contract for the City.  Many community volunteers and organizations have contributed to making the portal a success and it will only grow with time and we make more connections in our community.

The objective of the Guelph Wellington Immigration Portal is to develop, implement, and maintain an Immigration Portal that will:

  •  Contribute to the growing economies of Guelph and Wellington by supporting the attraction, settlement, integration, and retention of immigrants to the community.
  •  Provide timely, accurate, relevant, and local information for immigrants both pre- and post-arrival in Canada, and in Guelph and Wellington.

The portal is reflective of our commitment to make Guelph and Wellington a welcoming place for everyone. We are an inclusive community and this is a source of great pride for all residents.
