Guelph is proud to host the Transatlantic Urban Climate Dialogue (TUCD) fourth workshop focusing on Integrated Community Energy Systems: Sustainable City Building, Competitiveness and Economic Development on May 14-16.
The Project is supported by the Transatlantic Program of the Federal Republic of Germany as Part of the European Recovery Program (ERP) of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology.
This Dialogue has proven to be an excellent opportunity for us to deepen understanding about shared transatlantic challenges with local energy and climate policy development and implementation.
Leaders from the public and private energy sector in German, Canada and the United States including elected officials are expected to attend the Dialogue.
I am looking forward to showcasing our Community Energy Initiative and to learn from our friends who have considerable experience in energy planning and conservation.
Communities in the U.S. hosted a workshop and two took place in Germany.
You can read about the TUCD here.
