Guelph joins other municipalities across Ontario in celebrating the 5th annual Local Government Week from October 20-26, 2013.
This is an opportunity for students and youth to increase their civic awareness and share their ideas about what’s important to them as Guelph residents.
This year, students are being asked to show how their voice can be heard in local government by submitting posters on My Voice in Local Government. For example your poster may illustrate you voting, or what you like about your neighbourhood or school, or you addressing Council members about any issue.
The winning poster will be featured on the Mayor’s annual holiday card or thank you cards. You can learn more here.
