I’ll be in Toronto three times this week, talking up what Guelph has to offer with audiences from the GTA and beyond.
Tuesday morning was our “Quest for the West” breakfast in Mississauga, promoting Guelph as a place to invest to about 80 real estate agents, developers and investors. The response to our invitation to this event was so great that we had to move the event to a bigger room. Investors are clearly interested in Guelph.
This afternoon, I’ll be at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre as a presenter and panellist at the Health Quality Transformation conference. On the panel with me are Police Chief Bryan Larkin and the Executive Director of the Guelph Family Health Team, Ross Kirkconnell. We’ll be talking about Guelph’s Community Wellbeing Initiative. You can read more about it here.
Tomorrow, I’ll stay in Toronto for an Open Government conference at the MaRS Discovery District, where our CAO Ann Pappert will make a presentation on what Guelph is doing. I’ll post more about this conference tomorrow.
I see it as an important part of my job to promote Guelph outside the city. It’s gratifying to see that Guelph is well-recognized as a leader in many different areas.
