Great cities are exceptional stewards

Great cities are exceptional stewards of resources.

When the glaciers receded from our area they bestowed upon us the precious gift of water, abundant in supply and rare in quality.

Through conservation and efficiency, Guelph has separated water consumption from growth – as our population has grown we have used less water and that means lower operating costs.

If we consumed water at the rate of an average Canadian, we would require $55 million in infrastructure to meet that demand.

Great cities do more with less.
