100% of Guelph’s drinking water comes from groundwater, and our City has long been recognized as an international leader in groundwater research and management.
In June, groundwater experts, researchers, scientists, and policy-makers will be gathering in Guelph for a groundwater conference called GroundSwell.
Alexandra Cousteau – water advocate, National Geographic Emerging Explorer, and granddaughter of famed ocean explorer Jacques Cousteau – will be the conference’s keynote speaker. Tickets for her talk will be available to the public. You can read the details here: http://groundswellconference.com/news/
We can be proud that Guelph’s water consumption continues to decrease, even as our population continues to grow. We are a community that cares about water. I think Cousteau’s message will resonate strongly here.
